Paris - Denfert-Rochereau

You should ignore both the hut on the rooftop and the lift that requires a keypad to activate it. Instead make your way down 3 levels using the empty lift shaft which is in disrepair. The first drop can be made safely by using the concrete sticking out of the side at the top of the drop. For the second drop you should activate your speed augmentation briefly so that you don’t take any damage. The third drop can be made by sliding down the concrete rod. You should now be standing in an open doorway leading out of the lift shaft, though not all the way at the bottom yet:

Go up the stairs on the left and follow the path round to a room in which there is an odd woman. You get 50 skill points for finding this room. Speak to the odd woman who will give you a code and an objective. In case you’re interested there are some crates at the top of this room, accessible by climbing on the slanting beam, however you don’t need any of those items if you have been following this walkthrough. But just next to the base of this beam is a bioelectric cell, so climb up to get it. Return to the empty lift shaft that you used to come down from the roof and go down the stairs just beyond it. At the bottom find the keypad by the closed door and enter the code that the odd woman gave you to open these doors. The room beyond contains hazardous gases so it is best to find another way around. Return once more to the empty lift shaft (on the second level) and drop down one level further, but not quite to the bottom. There is a hole in the wall on this level which you should climb through. Climb down the ladder and move along the passage past the dead greasel. On your right you will come to a grate which you can ignore. Continue to the end of the passage where there is another grate, but locked. Smash it open. The exit to the hazardous room is just a little further to the left from this grate, so activate your environmental resistance augmentation and make a run for it. You get 50 skill points for exiting that room, and discover that there is a repair bot waiting for just outside. Deactivate environmental resistance, use regeneration, and then recharge with the bot.

Climb down the ladder into the sewers and kill the 4 greasels that are lurking around down here. Once they have been killed, return to the odd woman that you met earlier (just run straight through the hazardous room this time). Speak to the odd woman to get 200 skill points. Then get back to the repair bot to regain your health. Climb down the ladder to where the greasels were and proceed further to the West. You will eventually reach another ladder where you will be awarded 50 skill points. Climb up the ladder to the open air. In this area there are 3 MJ12 commandos on guard, one of whom will provide you with a nanokey. After killing them, make your way down into the metro station. Talk with the guy on the left as you leave the steps, but don’t buy anything (more than once for more information). Continue to the West and turn right. You will have to kill a security bot and 2 MJ12 troopers here (despite the fact that the person you spoke with said there were 3). The bot can be very difficult to deal with. It is best to lure it towards a hiding place and then take one swipe at it at a time, quickly retreating to hiding and regenerating your health before attacking again. By exploring the rest of the metro you should find 1 bioelectric cell, 4 darts and a medical bot. There is also a security computer terminal nearby that can be used to bypass the turret and its camera. Go over to where the turret and camera are located and you will find some ATMs. Hack either of them and withdraw 300 credits. Now return to the man who had offered to sell you some items and he will give you a discount. This time buy the recoil weapon modification for 400 credits and apply it to your pistol.

Leave the metro and look at the two main gates enclosing this area on either side, across the road. You may have noticed that there are military bots beyond them. It isn’t possible to use LAM climbing to scale the walls or gates (nor is it possible to through a LAM over them) as far as I can tell. One of the bots was visible from the top of the tower on which you had started this level, but shooting it from there would have meant using 2 rockets. There was no way you could get down from the tower either. However, with some luck I discovered that one of the gates can actually be crawled through! Go up to the right-hand gate of the pair to the North. Crouch in the corner between the gate itself and the concrete block between the two gates. From this position you can actually crawl into the base of the aforementioned concrete block, and out the other side! The bot that is on patrol on this side is in fact deemed to be friendly and it will not attack you (unless you attack it first) so you can leave it alone. However, walk round to the other side where the southern gate is and there is a second military bot. This one is hostile so take it out. N.B. at the base of the tower on which you began the mission there is some kind of invisible instant death trap. Clearly that was placed there to gib anyone jumping out of the tower, but it will also instantaneously gib you if you walk into the area on the ground (it is dimly illuminated, in case you try to find the spot). After this short adventure return through the northern gate into the part of the map you are meant to be in.

Head over to the building across the road to the East. There is a door into the left part of this building directly opposite the metro’s steps. Unlock it with your nanokey and walk inside. As you approach the spiral staircase in here you will get 250 skill points for finding the entrance to the catacombs. Go down the steps.

Paris - Catacombs

At the bottom of the stairs turn right and then right again. Prevent the gas grenade from detonating, and then turn left. Kill the 2 MJ12 troopers. Leave this side-room and continue to the East. As the passage turns right you will have to kill another MJ12 trooper who is on patrol. Turn left into a larger room with pillars where you will find an MJ12 commando that you must kill. You can retrieve a bioelectric cell from his body. Proceed eastwards until you are told about the hideout. You should notice 2 bricks in the small room which are slightly out of place. Pushing either one will open the entrance to the secret bunker. As you enter the bunker you will be awarded 150 skill points. Now find Chad, who is inside the central part of the bunker. This gets you another 250 skill points. In your conversation with Chad he will give you a nanokey. Leave the Silhouette hideout and open the blast door that is directly opposite their secret entrance using your nanokey.

You will get a further 150 skill points after passing through the blast door. Take either the left or right path here - they both meet up just around the corner anyway. There is an MJ12 commando nearby that you should kill and then take his bioelectric cell. Where the two passages meet up again there is a locked box on the ground as well as a crate of TNT. First, smash open the locked box and read the datacube inside it. Then grab the TNT and carry it back out of the catacombs up the spiral staircase.

Paris - Denfert-Rochereau

Carry the TNT out of the building you are now in and across the road. Throw it at the entrance to the building there which is currently locked so that the doors are blown open. Enter this building. Turn immediately right and then left up the stairs. Enter the room here and break open the cabinet (if your TNT did not already do so for you). Read the datacube, pick up the chit for 300 credits and also the nanokey. Behind you there is a bioelectric cell on the shelf. Use the security computer terminal to turn off the cameras and the turret and to unlock and open the door. Return down the stairs and now turn left. Jump through the window here into the office. The telephone should ring - pick it up. Also read the datacube under the desk. Now jump out of the window again and continue down the stairs. You will come to a room where there is a repair bot (that can be used if necessary), a nanokey on a trolley and a bioelectric cell in a crate. Return to the catacombs.

Paris - Catacombs

Get back to the place that you had found the TNT crate. Head north from here. Ignore the turning to the right. The passage will turn left and then bend round to the North again. Take the turning to the left, and then the next turning to the left that you come to as well. Kill the MJ12 trooper at the bottom of the steps and go into the room on the left. You can find 4 flare darts in here. Now enter the room to the South. Smash open the locked box in here to find 5 darts (there are 8 in total but you can only hold another 5) and 4 flare darts. As you leave this room, look to the right and notice that there is a hole in the wall above ground level. You can use the steps nearby to climb onto a ledge around the wall and then crawl through that gap. In the next room you will find a datacube on the ledge:

Now take the passage to the West. There is one more MJ12 trooper to be dealt with here. Go to the left and climb up the ladder in this room. Smash open the door to the fenced off area in which you can see a repair bot. The bot should now, by itself, come over to the nearby machinery and fix it so that there is no longer a hazardous electrical discharge. Use the bot now if you need to. Go back down the ladder and return to where there is a cross on the wall (opposite the passage you came in through). If you crouch you get round the cross and through the hole in the wall behind it. Crawl along to the right until you find another hole on the far side. As you go through this next hole into bunker number 3 you will get 50 skill points. Directly across from this hole is a hole in the floor leading to water-filled passage. Jump into there as quickly as possible (without being noticed by the surrounding guards) and activate your aqualung as you swim along. As you surface at the other end of the tunnel you will find yourself in the vicinity of a woman in black and an MJ12 commando, both of whom you should kill. The commando provides you with another bioelectric cell. It is possible that other nearby enemies will hear the commotion and come to join the fight, in which case just kill them now rather than later. In this area there is a security computer terminal. Access it to disable the cameras and to set the turrets to shoot at enemies. Pick up the nanokey from the table and read the datacube.

There now remain a further 3 MJ12 troopers and 3 MJ12 commandos in this bunker. Depending on exactly how you go about killing them you could meet them anywhere in the bunker, so all I will say is that you should kill them. Each commando is carrying a bioelectric cell and there is also one inside a crate on the upper level of the bunker, making a total of 4 bioelectric cells to be collected here. Find the hole through which you entered the bunker in the first place. Just in front of it is a locked box. Smash it open to find a reload weapon modification which you should use to upgrade your pistol. Now find the door behind which the hostages are kept (in the middle of the half of the bunker). Open it with your nanokey to let the prisoners free. This earns you 250 skill points. Now spend 3600 skill points to upgrade your skill in electronics to the advanced level. If the exit to the bunker is still closed the former hostages will open it for you. Don’t worry about the red lasers in the passage beyond the exit. Follow the two silhouette members back to their secret bunker. When they have returned speak to Chad again and you will be awarded with 500 skill points. Return to the far end of bunker 3 and collect the crate of TNT that should still be lying there. Now get to the blast door located north of bunker 3, carrying the TNT crate (use your map to find your way if you are lost!). Open it with your nanokey and go through to get 50 skill points. Keep following the tunnels until you eventually reach a ladder going down. At some point between the blast door and the ladder you should have acquired a further 50 skill points. Sometimes you may miss out on this, if so just keep wandering around for a while in this section of the map until you get it. Once you have got the points, climb down the ladder, still carrying the TNT.
